The camp is here to act as a hub for peaceful direct action to protect Leith Hill and the wider Weald from oil exploration.
If you’re interested in coming to help protect the hill, we are running a series of informal workshops about peaceful direct action and the different roles involved. There are roles for everyone, from being on the front line of an action to a vital supporting role such as legal observing, providing welfare, transport, and media work. Even things which aren’t obvious such as pet sitting for someone while they are on an action are crucial!
Please get in touch or come up and visit anytime for a chat about what’s happening and how you can join us to protect the hill.
If you can’t physically come to Leith Hill, there are lots of other vital ways to help, such as:
- Tell everyone about what’s happening here!
- Participate in campaigns to ask suppliers to pull out of the project – see the Supplier Campaign page
- Write to the council to object to the remaining planning applications for the project – see the Voice for Leith Hill website and Leith Hill Action Group website
- Support the camp through donations and practical help such as showers – get in touch to find out how 🙂
